Student Staff Positions

JFK and Saturday School Staff Application Schedules have been decided as follows:

Explanatory Meeting for New Saturday School Staff (from Fall 2010) and Staff for JFK 2010 May 25th (Tue) 16:00 in Kwansei Gakuin Senri International Campus “Cafeteria”
May 29th (Sat) 16:00 in Kwansei Gakuin Senri International Campus 3rd floor “Conference Room”

Attendance to ONE of the Explanatory Meetings will be MANDATORY for application. No reservations will be necessary.

Details on the application process will be announced at the meetings, but please keep in mind that you will be asked to come in on either June 19th (Sat) or June 26th (Sat) as a trial day of the program, if hired.

If you are interested in a student staff position, please download and fill out the Saturday School Student Staff Registration Form. (Please note that this form is different from the Student Staff Application Form which can only be obtained from attending one of the explanatory meetings.) Fax or post the registration form to the Special Programs Office (emailed forms will not be accepted). You will be informed about the date of the next explanatory meeting.

 

Saturday School has two student staff recruitment periods each year.

 

Recruitment Period 1:

Explanatory Meeting: Mid-January
Application Deadline: End of January
Start of Employment: April (Spring Term)

 

Recruitment Period 2:

Explanatory Meeting: Mid-June
Application Deadline: End of June
Start of Employment: September (Fall Term)

 

Applicants should keep in mind the following requirements if interested in applying for a student staff position:

  • Must have a reasonable level of spoken English.
  • Must be comfortable working with children.
  • Must be available on Saturdays (30 a year).
  • Must have appropriate Visa documentation if a foreign national.
  • Must be 15 years of age as of 1 April.

Please note:

  • Shortlisted applicants will have separate English and Japanese interviews.
  • Hired student staff must attend a series of orientations prior to the start of their employment.
