For new students who hope to join our program, parents need to evaluate their child’s English level.
In an effort to help you evaluate your child’s English level the following explanation has been prepared. We hope to make the differences of the various levels clear so that you can know what is expected at the different levels in Saturday School as well as what your child should know or be able to do in English before entering his/her class.
(If there are any questions please inquire here info@special-programs.net)
Your estimate of your child’s English level will help us get started with their placement test, but the tester will determine your child’s level based on the program director taking the above into careful consideration.

Level 0 |
S(Starter)-スターター
リーディングやライティングに関してはアルファベットの認識、大文字小文字の区別が難しい。授業ではスピーキング、リスニング、リーディング、ライティングの基礎知識を取得することを目的としている。 Your child has never studied English before and doesn’t really know the alphabet. He/She can’t read or write English at all, much less speak or understand and should they join our program, it will be their first formal exposure to the language. We have no expectations of the English of these children and we will start with the very basics of English language acquisition on all levels of speaking, listening, reading and writing. |
